Dear Members and Community,
Welcome to the Kantara Initiative Director's Corner newsletter for the 3rd
quarter of 2014. In this installment we provide a recap of recent events,
connections, news, and opportunities. We have some great news to share
about our membership and we've participated in some great F2F and virtual
events.
We're pleased to present the Kantara Initiative IoT & Identity Strategic
Series of workshops. This workshop series connects leaders, partners, and
competitors alike to share information around the intersection of IoT,
Identity, and Access Management. Positioned in the East and West coasts of
the US and in the hub of Utrecht, Netherlands, the series of events has
connected leaders to share use cases, successes, and strategies across
industries and jurisdictions to innovate around the economics, market
building, and risk profiles associated with the Identity layer of IoT.
Thanks for connecting with us - Joni Brennan, Executive Director, Kantara
Initiative

Dear Community,
We are looking forward to the IRM Summit Nov 3-5 with the "warm-up" Kantara
Initiative IoT & Identity Workshop on Nov 3. Kantara Members benefit from a
40% full ticket discount. We hope to see you in Dublin!
*Welcome to the Connected Life - Identity Relationship Management
Personified*
This is a "warm-up" workshop for the Identity Relationship Management (IRM)
Summit. The IRM Summit is the premier event focusing on the evolution of
Identity Access and Management Services. To join us, register for the IRM
Summit <http://irmsummit.com/>.
Technology services that connect businesses, consumers, governments, and
citizens are exponentially evolving. With each innovation humans become
more connected to people, entities, and things. Enterprise, governments,
research, education, and consumers each value trusted: identity services,
credentials and personal data associated. This trust is composed of open
standards development and publication, verifiable services, proportional
data control, choice, context, and a mutual respect for the user.
As the Internet of Things becomes pervasive Kantara Initiative is taking a
lead to discover strategic issues at the intersection of identity, IoT, and
usability. Our Members innovate and develop programs that simplify our
increasingly complex connected life. Networked devices and sensors make up
the fabric of the Internet of Things. Leveraging mobile devices, sensors,
and wearables is the future of identity and personal data. That future is
here now. It is our connected life.
*Why attend:*
