All - Kantara Initiative is announcing a Most Valuable Participant (MVP) Award. We would like to show our appreciation for the participant who has clearly worked hard, showed leadership, and provided the most valuable contributions to their Working Group or Discussion Group during the past year. The participant selected as the Kantara Initiative MVP will be recognized at the RSA Security Conference in San Francisco in March [1]. In order to attend, the MVP will also receive a complimentary pass to the conference (valued at US$2,195). As a community-driven initiative, we would like to provide everyone with the opportunity to nominate who they believe to be the Kantara MVP. Anyone on this distribution is welcome to send the name of their nominee to me, along with any statement of support you feel appropriate. The only limitations on eligibility are that the nominee must be a Participant (as defined by the Kantara Bylaws [2]), and cannot be a member of the Kantara Initiative staff (or paid contractor). The MVP award will be presented to an individual -- either an individual Participant or someone working for a Participant company/organization. Please send your nominations to me (adams@isoc.org) by 23:59 UTC on Tuesday, January 19th. The Leadership Council will then vote on the MVP, and the recipient notified thereafter. In case the selected MVP is unable to attend the RSA Security Conference, the recipient can opt to transfer the pass to someone else. That person will then accept the MVP award on behalf of the MVP.
