Thanks to John M for writing this up and John W for passing it along! We're looking into John M's posting troubles.

This is a very cool use case. My usual question would be: Is there an actual requirement for the technologies specified, or could they be analyzed as to their fit for the requirements vs. the traditional technologies? E.g., what benefits does a traditional signature-protected ledger mechanisms miss, and what benefits does a DLT confer? What downsides does a DLT bring along that a traditional approach might not suffer from?

I have a potential new use of Blockchain and Smart-Contracts. I have written it up using the template, but don't yet have rights on the Kantara system. I have published what I have developed with a friend of mine (Health Informaticist and Researcher) onto my Blog. I am happy to submit it fully to the Kantara DG-BSC efforts if the community is interested.

The use-case is Evidence Notebooks (aka Lab Notebooks, or Patent Notebooks).
