Hi Eve,
The central theme at the Bay Area meetings last week was self-sovereign
identity and emerging standards for a self-sovereign technology stack. The
maturation of blockchain-related work in this area is proceeding at
lightning speed and federation approaches are being marginalized as a
result.
I was involved in many sessions involving UMA and blockchains at Rebooting
Web of Trust, IIW, and the W3C Verifiable Claims Face2Face. There is a lot
of synergistic activity around self-sovereign identity that also links to
the self-sovereign aspects of UMA when the AS is a self-sovereign agent
supporting one's self sovereign identity.
Most of the notes are not posted yet. When they are, I would be happy to
lead a review of some of these sessions.
