Great call again today - lots of good insights - meeting notes are here - please correct as needed. https://kantara.atlassian.net/l/cp/3vPY50xx We explored the classic biometrics system architecture diagram and talked about how 'deepfakes' would apply. Stephanie updated her pre-existing diagram that shows exactly that with input from the call. Screen shots in the notes and will post the images on the wiki soon. Also some pointers to good reading material. Next week Dawid will present on forensics and records management as key aspects of identification systems. Morning, All. Looks like Denny will miss todays meeting. So please consider this our agenda notification. 1) Mike Chaudoin is a biometrics industry veteran, with decades of experience, including lots of NIST, ISO and engineering work. He has been observing our little group and would like to participate at some level. He also has some interesting perspectives on biometrics and the workflows within a biometric system. He has offered to potentially lead a new topic area for us, focusing on those biometric workflows and the vulnerabilities therein. I will invite him to participate today, or next week, to share his ideas. We should discuss this opportunity today, get some consensus on the idea. 2) Heather has apparently left the group. She was leading a couple different subject areas. Gartner on DeepFakes

I spend a lot of time with Gartner, and I know that other top vendors do also. The education is starting to sink in and I believe that Akif Khan understands the threat as well as what’s wrong with many solutions. I’ll upload this to our cash of materials.
