Hello all! I hope you are well. Over the last month or so, we have agreed to proceed to develop a deck, of sorts, that will describe all the information we have compiled and rendered. To do this, we agreed that the leader of each Content bucket would provide a 1-3 paragraph summary of the information compiled in their respective bucket, followed by some bullet point highlights. These summaries are due tomorrow and we will begin presenting our respective summaries, for review and feedback. Once that’s completed and acceptable to all, we will begin rendering the deck, that will present all the summaries, including illustrations/diagrams/images/etc. I suspect we wont get through all the presentations tomorrow, but hopefully. Hello Everyone! I hope you were able to enjoy some time off, last week. But duty calls. So, I thought I’d recap of the plan, our Leadership agreed to, going forward. First, we decided that the “presentation” deliverable will be a slide presentation, a deck at least initially, that describes all that we have learned in the Group. In fact, there is quite a lot of information, in our various topic buckets. Thanks for everybody who contributed. With that, our plan is to summarize each topic bucket. By “summarize”, we mean read/review all documents and submissions in each bucket and describe the entirety generically in a paragraph or two or three, followed by bullet-points isolating the most important elements, themes and takeaways. We would hope that folks that volunteered to steward a particular topic bucket, will write these summaries and have them ready to share in our regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, July 24th. During our next scheduled meeting, on Wednesday, July 10, we will confirm group leaders will or will not provide the respective summaries. In the instance, that nobody confirms they will write the summary, I will do it. Once the summaries are collected, we will begin to incorporate them into a slide deck draft, which will need feedback and schematics and illustrations and commentary, etc. So…. Hello Everyone! I hope you're able to cut out of work early and enjoy a holiday-impacted week next week. It appears that Canada enjoys a national holiday on Monday, while the US enjoys a national holiday on Thursday. We assume that the week is effectively useless and so we will cancel next weeks regular meeting. However, Group Leadership today had a strong conversation about next steps. Hello everybody! I hope you are well. During our last meeting, few members showed up. However, we had a very robust discussion about what the Kantara AI-IDV Group would/should do next. Tomorrows Meeting Agenda will be to continue this conversation and, potentially, come to some consensus. It’s important that as many Members attend as is possible. Please find notes describing the last meetings discussion. The Kantara pattern is to explore a topic in a Discussion Group (like this one) - then decide whether there is more work to be done If more work to be done then we can charter a work group to write recommendations, define requirements, and maybe establish a certification scheme Andrew suggested that we could take the ENISA Good Practices for Remote IDPV report, write a set of requirements that encompass the report’s recommendations, add requirements that arise from our DG discussions. Lots of active discussion about where such work might fit into the Kantara world, how it could relate to 800-63A, how it might fit into updating of international standards. The work that the follow on WG produces will end up influencing national frameworks and guidance - but exactly how it will influence is TBD. Looking forward to another lively discussion!
