General comments were that this statement is a reasonable statement of 'why' the organization should exist.
Discussion on the word 'defines' - does the ID Pro organization define the profession? or does it reflect what's out there?
The difficulty might be that this statement is too broad for _every_ practitioner out there - because if they don't join up to ID Pro, they are still practitioners.
All - to look for examples of how this is stated in other associations

Question: if we strike 'defines' does it work?
