Agree with Andrew H. that is should be about the organisation; agree with Thorsten on both items with respect to “utility” (*being another non-native English speaker I agree the term is difficult to grasp) and “digital” (we shouldn’t limit to those only; perhaps best to not mention what we’re employing it for — who knows what the future brings). I think a Vision statement can be made in the present tense as if the association has achieved the vision it set for itself and is describing itself as if it were already at that future state.
I have seen Vision statements both in present and forward looking, but not sure if one option is more technically correct than the other.
