I don't think I have anything for today's call either... Colin and I chatted with Kaliya and Bill Aal about techniques that might be helpful to get input from a large-ish group - Appreciative Inquiry was suggested. If we want, Bill (and possibly Kaliya) are willing to give us 90 minutes to do a very basic intro to the technique. I suggested that if we could do this once DG leads are elected and include the Board SC, it might have the best effect. I'm willing to hear about the process - I don't think there's a downside for us. Of course, if we all are super-excited about the approach, we have the option to buy some consulting time to do deeper work... :-) andrew. *Andrew Hughes *CISM CISSP Independent Consultant *In Turn Information Management Consulting* o +1 650.209.7542 m +1 250.888.9474 1249 Palmer Road, Victoria, BC V8P 2H8 AndrewHughes3000@gmail.com ca.linkedin.com/pub/andrew-hughes/a/58/682/ *Identity Management | IT Governance | Information Security * On Mon, Oct 31, 2016 at 7:46 AM, Shannon Taylor <staylor@virtualmgmt.com> wrote:
Thanks Ian. Are there others not able to attend today? Any changes for the call on Wednesday as we progress thru the survey results?
For some reason your email address in just the DG is bouncing because of “Excessive or fatal bounces”. I can’t see any way for me to fix this – on Friday I emailed our IT staff requesting he look into how to enable your address again.
In the meantime, attached is the email that did go out on Friday.

Thanks for letting us know Ian.
I am in DC as you head out of it, or so it seems.. :-).
The election ballot went out Friday.
Indeed, the numbers on the calls is less than ideal.
It's a busy time for everyone, and involved in other groups in other fora outside of Kantara as I am, my sense is that this is typical.
We could appeal to the list for more attendance. Or ask for reasons not attending.
Clearly one answer will be the call time. The call time will not work for everyone everywhere, but perhaps there is something we can change in order to improve call attendance and email list activity levels.
Cheers
Colin

I'll be in the air during our call (November is a travel heavy month)
I don't have much for the group other than I am a little concerned about the size of the group - especially knowing that we are heading into November and will be splitting up into project teams
Also did the ballot go out?
