These updates are designed to increase the value of Kantara membership through the following key changes:

• Voting Privileges: Voting rights within Groups are now reserved strictly for Members (previously open to all Participants).
• Leadership Roles: Group leadership roles—including Chair, Vice/Co-Chair, and Secretary—must now be held by Members (previously only Chairs were required to be Members).

This strategic alignment anchors the development of Kantara's standards and Work Groups within a dedicated core of invested community stakeholders.
