Good morning Sal I had a quick catch up with Kay last week and we were discussing some comms campaigns we might do to promote our Work Groups. Now that the Transparency Performance Indicators Recommendations have been accepted, could we get some time to discuss what this means for our wider community and the market as a whole? I'm interested in the background to this work and how this might influence the way consent is gathered and stored. Are there any issues you can see with the way AI is developing in the identity space? And, ultimately, how we can help educate people around issues of transparency and consent? Thanks and look forward to hearing back from you. Hi Karyn, This abstract which I sent to IEEE and was accepted for their IEEE Symposium on Privacy Expectations (ISoPE)<https://ieee-isope.org/> I think it does a pretty good job of setting up the work and background, please let me know. The work is focused on the legal requirements for notice and as a result consent on the part of PII Controllers (data controller, responsible individual in the organization which is the CEO and delegates) using international standards spearheaded at Kantara by ANCR and before the CIS workgroups. It is effectively a consent bs detector, though some have pushed back on that term, others like it. Another way of describing what this does is to "address consent deceit with a notice and consent receipt and standardized record), this refers to the dark patterns associated with consent pop-ups that drive people toward unnecessary sharing and minimizing liability of the PII Controller and putting all of the effort and risk on the PII Principal (so no risk for CEO and company and all the risk on you and me). Too often today a one-sided privacy policy and consent pop-up, enable these dark patterns. The TPI address this. Also, I have recently been prototyping automating the process and it works pretty well. I would expect to be able to show this at the conference and to the wg, there are a lot of uses. Happy to discuss this, please let me know what else you might need, and we look forward to your feedback.
