Just picking up on Kay's report about the 2024 DEIA survey....

Responses are slow to come through so we'd really appreciate your support in ensuring the DEIA survey is representative of as many organizations as possible.  Please can you share the survey link with your wider networks and other colleagues?

The survey can be accessed directly at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3LPP3WL

I have tagged all of you on LinkedIn posts earlier this month and I'll share a new post this evening. Please look out for this and repost directly from your own LI account.

I recommend you tag individual contacts who could also contribute as that will get more attention than simply reposting to your followers en-masse.

Thank you all so much - your help is greatly appreciated!

Sounds like a strong event, Kay — and good validation that the work being done is moving us in the right direction
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Kantara's presence and participation at Identity Week America was a huge success.

James Keenan and David Nutbrown traveled to DC and helped me with the Kantara exhibit table. James also participated in a panel on trust frameworks. I moderated a panel on Digital Identity in Government.

We set up on Tuesday afternoon and saw a few folks. We had to hit the ground running on Wednesday (the first day of the conference). As Peter Davis mentioned in the Leadership Council meeting this week, he (and I) have never seen the Kantara table so crowded.

From the moment we arrived, a steady stream of people came to talk to us about the assurance program. I never even got to take a lunch break, and luckily, someone brought me a cup of tea. It was insane. I regretted letting Lynzie stay home.

Clearly, the industry is aware of the new GSA SIN schedule for credential service providers with the Kantara trust mark. In addition, one company came up to the table and told us that CISA had put a checkbox on their RFPs for Kantara certification. Who knew? They wanted to know what they needed to do to get the Kantara mark so they could compete for those contracts.

I met with multiple federal agency representatives who all support Kantara and our work.  The IRS has asked me to present an in-person briefing about the Kantara process and answer questions. Lynzie will also be in the DC area next week so she and I will give them a presentation and answer questions.

If you have agencies that have questions or would like more information, please don't hesitate to let me know. I am happy to arrange to meet with them, and they will learn more about what goes on behind the scenes, which should give them confidence.

I also want to thank Peter Davis, Pat Clancey, Andrew Hughes, Mike Magrath, and Maria Vachino for coming to the Kantara table and pitching in. We needed help talking with folks, and it was very much appreciated.

Let me know if you have any questions. Although I didn't see many of the presentations, it was a great conference. We appreciate all your support.

Best wishes,
Kay
