Names being non-validated due to apostrophe's or hyphenated are also a bone of contention with me, suggests people don't understand how to create either attributes, data schemas or credentials that encompass multiple scenarios. Dear WG, There is finally a paper up for comment, which for the first time enters into the relative field of that the ANCR WG works in. It is called "NIST IR 8480: Attribute Validation Services for Identity Management Architecture, Security, Privacy, and Operational Considerations” [Internet Accessible @ https://csrc.nist.gov/pubs/ir/8480/ipd ] The deadline for comments, has been extended from tomorrow to Dec 2nd, and I am discussing with a couple of other standards groups with their skin in this game, a joint strategy on putting some comments forward, where in we put forward comments that might compliment each other in this field. In particular, Kantara as an assessor has a certain perspective that could be support by some choice comments by us. This would entail not the regular - put in all the comments we feel are good, but a bit of a mandate to curate the editorial of these comments so that meet a level of a) consensus b) are appropriate for Kantara’s role in the ecosystem, To this end, I would like to invite interested parties to review this document, and if interested, discuss, draft and agree an ANCR WG set of comments, Not prohibiting any member of this group to indecently put forward all other comments that you might thing appropriate, If you are interested, and because time is relatively short, the idea would be to invite people to review the doc, and, to have an adhoc set of meetings for the next 3 Thursday’s - at 5pm (eastern) for an hour, Objective for the meetings: 1. Meeting 1 to discuss the paper 2. Meeting 2 to draft and or review draft comments 3. Also, is it a good idea to work on the TPI spec a bit now, as well as post the MVCR v2, on the wiki? My thinking is that this way it can at least be shared under Kantara IPR and promoted as a global digital trust standard, and also posted at Global Privacy Rights, with the same Kantara IPR. The only down side is that companies like One Trust who have patented consent receipt management are likely to take this specification and do the same thing, Another issue to consider is that gen AI scrapping is a big problem. One solution could be to post a light version of the spec publicly and keep the whole thing under membership access only, although, i dont think is likely not a solution to this problem as genAI is native to confluence now. Which means there is a bunch more work to make a real demonstration of a notice and consent receipt spec. This is what has taken way more resource time that I could feasibly provide. In addition, being in the UK this week to speak at Westminster makes it really hard for me to meet at the regular ANCR WG time. I can tentatively make the meeting tomorrow but, since I am a guest and itâs my Birthday, itâs a struggle. In addition, being in the UK this week to speak at Westminster makes it really hard for me to meet at the regular ANCR WG time. Hi Everyone, In terms of defining ANCR WG relationship to the work being proposed I have drafted this, thus far, does this work for everyone? - Mark *** The ANCR WG would participate in providing comments on the Notice Receipt for standard transparency assurance, in addition to using it to publish Transparency Performance Indicators, which use the controller record, notice receipt or log to provide a conformant measure of how operational the performance of transparency is for the Individual. The objective of ANCR'd TPI work at Kantara is to further the transparency of surveillance and privacy beyond just an inclusive transparency record. The TPI work aims to enable controller to provide dynamic data controls, to act as a gateway for personal data and reduce, even eliminate the need for a PII Principals to share raw data with any third party, dramatically reducing risks and data breaches, making personal data operational with privacy rights controls, while reducing the requirement for personal data, to be surveilled, protected and stored by every Data Controller, at great risk to the individual. TPI’s along with the Notice Receipt standard address the well know challenge of personal data being un-governed in commercial data silo’s, unable to be used by the individual. Notice receipts and their logs make any profile and it’s processing transparent to the appropriate governing authority, wether that be the police or the individual, and is used to govern surveillance capitalism, surveillance by default and secret surveillance. TPI’s for example can measure if consent is valid, or secure, They can then also be used for signalling transparency and identity assurance scheme’s, to govern, secure the use age surveillance assurance technologies and generative AI. TPI’s have been contributed through the Kantara liaison and included in 27566 security and privacy of digital twins, and as a use case for 29170 security and privacy of generative AI, early 2024.
