Some news (in which my company is involved) came out last Thursday regarding a new effort called OpenMedReady. The headline on its website, openmedready.org, is: "Data provenance, security, privacy and consent in remote patient monitoring", and UMA is mentioned as one of the key specs underlying it. One way to think of it is as a healthcare IoT initiative layered on top of existing standards and profiles.
