Thanks, John. It's not just Facebook and Silicon Valley. I was recently interviewed by Competition Bureau | Government of Canada - Mergers and Monopolistic Practices Branch about this with respect to electronic health records. I was also interviewed by the US GAO on similar issue. 

Brings new meaning to Big Data, doesn't it?
