Call for Leadership of new DEIA workgroup - meeting canceled today

Hi everyone, I hope you had a good holiday if you celebrated Thanksgiving. You should have received a notice canceling the old meeting series for the DEIA group. There is no meeting today. However, the Leadership Council approved the formation of this as a formal workgroup. That means a charter was approved, but there will need to be a new election of officers - chair, vice chair, and secretary. Rather than trying to do the elections and meet during the holiday season, we will regroup after the first of the year. I would appreciate your input and interest in a leadership role in this new workgroup. Also, if you have recommendations for others to hold a leadership role, please let me know that as well. This is an opportunity to refresh and start a new year with new work, new goals, and new opportunities. Please let me know if you have questions or if you'd like to discuss the requirements of a leadership role. Thank you for your continued support. This is an urgent request. DEIA WG Formation Approved

Fellow SC-DEIA members, We are excited to announce that the working group charter has been approved and accepted by the leadership council. This is a great step forward for the work we seek to accomplish. For this new group, there will be a few infrastructure changes we will be making in the coming days: * We will be creating a new mailing list, but will maintain the archives of the original sub-committee. * We will be renaming (and hopefully not moving) the Confluence space we used as the sub-committee. * While we have not yet set a date for the inaugural meeting, we expect it will be sometime next week, provided no conflicts arise. Congratulations to all. This is an awesome milestone, and we look forward to the work ahead. Jordan & Peter
