Hi everyone,
I will be at the Identity Week conference next week here in DC at the
Convention Center. They have told me they plan to hold the conference even
if the government is shut down. In addition to doing a couple of
presentations, they have offered me the ability to run/organize a
roundtable discussion.
I proposed topics from the various work groups in Kantara. They like the
one on DEIA the best. Will any of you be at the conference as well? Could
any of you participate with me in the roundtable to help facilitate the
discussion?
I used the work areas we've discussed as a group for the discussion topic -
but we haven't really made any progress. Some of you may have already done
some work in these areas - would you mind sharing some information or
generic stuff I could use to facilitate the discussions? Here is what I
suggested to them:
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessible - Common Taxonomy,
Metrics, and How We Can Make Identity Solutions that Work
I could use some help! Here is the link to the roundtable descriptions,
https://www.terrapinn.com/exhibition/identity-week-america/agenda.stm.
Thanks in advance for your input. The conference is next week on Tuesday
and Wednesday. Anything in advance of that would be greatly appreciated.
Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi everyone,
I hope you are well and had a good weekend. Apologies for the late notice,
but both Jordan Burris and Eric Thompson will be unable to make the call
today. So we will cancel and plan to meet next month. Please take a look at
the Wiki page,
https://kantara.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DEIA/overview?homepageId=218497230,
and be sure you have signed up to be included on the mailing list.
There are two workspaces set up for Terminology and Taxonomy and another
one for Measuring ROI. If you have things to contribute to those topics,
you should be able to upload them there. If not, please email
staff(a)kantarainitiative.org to make sure you have access.
Please make sure you sign the Group Participation Agreement so that you can
be added to the mail list - there are several folks who have not done that
yet. Let me know if you have questions. Thanks everyone.
Best,
Kay

Hi everyone,
Jordan Burris and Eric Thompson sent out these notes from our last call. We
had trouble with the Zoom link last month but hopefully have corrected it
for our next meeting on Monday, August 28, at 12:00 PM Eastern Time.
I've attached the notes from the last call. The new email list for the
group should be working. However, to be added to the email list and to
fully access the workspace on the Wiki, please complete a Group
Participation Agreement (GPA). Here is the link to the group on the Wiki
page,
https://kantarainitiative.org/kantara-diversity-equity-inclusion-and-access….
Here is the link to sign up for access by completing the GPA form,
https://kantarainitiative.org/gpa-signup/.
In the attached notes, you will see five action items. Please submit those
items as requested by the close of business this Friday, August 25, so we
can use that input to move forward on the next call.
Action Item Requests:
1. A dedicated workspace was created for the Terminology/Taxonomy Work
Effort - please let Jordan and Eric know if you'd like to volunteer for
this work. [image: image.png]
2. A dedicated workspace was also created to measure identity outcomes,
impacts across demographics, and overall ROI. Please submit your
suggestions, recommendations, and practices to start the discussion. [image:
image.png]
3. We are looking to build out subcommittee participation. Please send
your recommendations for other groups, government agencies, and
organizations you believe should be represented in this group. Please email
Jordan and Eric, who are copied on this email, with those other group
recommendations and a contact.
4. Complete and sign the Group Participation Agreement (GPA) so that you
can access the Wiki workspaces.
5. Complete or have someone at your company complete the DEIA
survey, [image:

Thank you for your contributions to these action items. Your hard work
makes a difference. Please let me or Jordan know if you have questions or
additional comments.
I look forward to talking to you on Monday.
Kind regards,
Kay
