As a follow-up to my earlier email, I just heard from the Leadership Council Chair that our DII document was approved and will be prepared for publication. This administrative approval gap will be discussed at the October meeting of the LC..... a delayed, yet hardy thank you to Tom Jones, Editor, and to WG contributors: Justine, Isha, Bev, Sal,Jorje,Dr.Tom, Noreen, Tom J. and Jim. Just as an FYI: Voting is still open regarding our RIUP WG Digital Identifier Inclusion document. I just sent an email to those who have not noted asking them to cast their vote this week. If and when there is an announcement I will let you know. About 11 days ago Tom sent out NIST's link to the revised 800-63-4 draft document in 4 volumes. I have reviewed several of the volumes and recommend you do the same since we will focus our discussion around the document knowing Kantara will be responding in early October. I was pleased to see the 'legal person' phrase in the identity volume which may open a discussion door for our DDI doc. https://www.nist.gov/news-events/news/2024/08/nist-releases-second-public-d… I hope all have had a nice Labor Day weekend with family and friends and the days ahead will be productive. It's a lot to ask for a review from all. So what I did was to highlight every place that I thought mattered to the RIUP team. Highlighted in orange. Risk impact is a big addition - which I think is good. The focus is to do no harm. What I found to be missing is an affirmative action plan to see whether the introduction helped the disadvantaged improve their access to services. Peace ..tom jones
