what's next. what's needed. my personal view.

Reality exists solely in the eye of the beholder. Both the visionary and the madman can see wonderful buildings rising to the sky. The US, Europe and other communities can see a future with humans enabled by mobile technology. In my view I see my choice controlling my destiny. The start-up in the US sees wonderful opportunities to build a company. The European bureaucrat sees Brussels dictating opportunities for state level control of our choices. The dictatorial regime sees state level control of their populations. None of these views will be fully realized as the reality will be guided by these 4 among many other visions. I didn't even list the existing companies that each have visions incompatible with all the others. Is it possible that each person can pick their own solution? The dictators don't think that is wise. The merchants and access control gateways can only accommodate a few options. But it is these gateways that will be the ones to determine the user's choices. The only gateway I see involved today is the US TSA for airport access. The other obvious one is the customs control point which is pretty happy with the passport solution. What's the next obvious control point, the medical community or the merchant? Perhaps if we focus on those two we will have a chance at a good solution for all. Peace ..tom jones

The first 30 minutes will be devoted to refreshing the RIUP Charter with Justin (Vice Chair) and Noreen (Secretary) guiding us through the review process with a focus on the first two paragraphs. The remaining 30 minutes of our WG meeting will be devoted to hopefully approving the *Inclusive Purpose Consent Query* (*PCQ*) document. Tom J. has been the lead on this effort and has revised the red content on page 9. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1n7HobJ6QTsNld5rn1uuIiNw0A__L44ug/edit?u… The document (link) content has been generally accepted by the WG with the exception of page 9 content entitled *Verifier Processing of Holder Response*. On Tuesday, the 18th, we’ll be reviewing Sections 4 and 5: * Technical Specifications (4): These need updates to reflect our current work and new elements, such as community and tech partners, Tom’s ecosystem diagram, etc. * Recommendations (5): The draft recommendations seem outdated. Let’s revise them to align with our current direction and progress (e.g., MAAS update, PCQ, RIUP User Stories). Additional considerations: * Include the Fire Mobile Authentication document (OneDrive) [Mobile Authentication Assurance Statement (MAAS)], even if not updated yet—plan for RIUP updates. * Report on the Mobile Driving License Privacy (HTML)—current version or adoption/update plan. * Federated Identities for Resilient Ecosystems—current or update plan. * Health Identity Working Group—current or update plan.
