Cross collaborating meeting for HIA WG, IA WG, P3 WG & AM DG

All, Leadership of HIA WG, IA WG, P3 WG & AM DGs met today to socialise the idea of a cross collaboration meeting August 6-8. The idea is to offer an event in the D.C. area, kindly hosted by Surescripts at their Crystal City office. The event will focus on the inter connectivity and work of the Groups and share relevant components to make things interoperable. Then each Group would talk to their focussed deliverables and how they can be put in place. Stay tuned for further scope from Joni Brennan. Short update wrt final report and the Kantara LC

Hi all - When last we left our humble report, it was in the hands of the Kantara Leadership Council for review. Since then, the LC has had a bit of a time of it actually reaching quorum on the call, and so the necessary vote on whether to accept the report as an official Kantara document is moving to an e-vote. That will be sent out by Kantara staff and the LC will have 7 days to vote on it. If/when it is accepted as a Kantara doc, the LC will go over the individual recommendations to determine what the next steps should be (i.e. what new groups should be created, where can some/any/all of the work be done in existing groups, etc). In terms of feedback, so far I've received no comments from LC members not already involved in the creation of the doc. Outside Kantara, rumor has it that the document is being very well received. -Heather Flanagan

Quick update on LC response to our report

Hi all - Just to keep you all in the loop, the LC has discussion of our report on their agenda for May 23. They are not going to nit pick our content, but they will have a vote as to whether it should be published with the Kantara letterhead/seal of approval. I suspect they'll also start discussing which, if any, of our recommendations should be moved on first. Thanks again for all the time you put in to creating this doc! -Heather

Attribute Management Discussion Group - Report

Hello all - The Attribute Management Discussion Group was chartered in the Fall of 2011 to do the following: The purpose of this Discussion Group is to: IDENTIFY: Consensus on a working definition of "Attribute" for purposes of fulfilling further bullets below. IDENTIFY: Kantara Initiative stakeholder requirements regarding Attribute Management. DISCOVER: Attribute Management activities under development both internal and external to Kantara Initiative. GAP ANALYSIS: Attribute Management KI stakeholder requirements compared to work under development (both internal and external to KI) RECOMMEND: scope of work, potential KI adoption of external works, collaboration with external organizations and/or new WG in KI to perform design phase of Attribute Management based on requirements, discovery and gap analysis. We have completed our report, offering several recommendations in our report and a strong collection of relevant information to guide future efforts in our repository.
