While these tools can significantly enhance productivity, creativity, and efficiency, they also introduce serious risks. Shadow AI will explore the causes, implications, and mitigation strategies related to Shadow AI in enterprise environments. The anticipated output is a report that outlines the risks, organizational vulnerabilities, and practical countermeasures. Meeting Date Set: Thursday, April 9th - 10AM PT/1PM ET Trusted Transaction Assurance: The digital identity landscape is at a pivotal moment. The release of NIST SP 800-63 v4 provides a modern, modular framework for identity proofing, and Kantara's US Assurance Program is poised to develop the corresponding assessment criteria. While these developments are foundational, they leave critical market-level and downstream challenges unaddressed, including persistent market confusion, component integration friction, and the authorization gap. Trusted Transaction will address these challenges directly, creating the market-enabling frameworks necessary to unlock the full potential of a componentized, high-assurance identity ecosystem. Meeting date set: April 9th, 9AM PT/12Noon ET Blinding Identity Taxonomy (BIT): As autonomous systems such as AI-driven analytics and neurotechnology become embedded in operational workflows, governance frameworks must keep pace to prevent re-identification risks. SP 800 - 4 Volume A Service Assessment Criteria Now Live

Dear Assurance Program Participants, This notice confirms the formal publication of the Kantara Initiative International Assurance Program: SP 800-63A-4 Service Assessment Criteria (SAC) & Statement of Criteria Applicability (SoCA). The updated assessment criteria are effective immediately. As of the date of this notice: - Identity Assurance Level (IAL) assessments can now be conducted against SP 800-63A-4. Initial applications should be submitted to secretariat(a)kantarainitiative.org. - All organizations seeking assessment and certification are now required to contract directly with Kantara Initiative. Kantara will manage the engagement and assignment of accredited assessors. - Accredited assessors will continue to perform assessments; however, they will no longer be contracted directly by applicants. - The previous SP 800-63-3 assessment criteria will continue to be available to those who require them. The assessment documentation and supporting materials are provided with this notice. Questions regarding transition or implementation should be directed to the Assurance Program team by emailing feedback(a)kantarainitiative.org.

Hi everyone, The UK government made a formal announcement and posted a blog about Kantara being the first conformity assessment body to be accredited to ISO 17065 to the DIATF. We have at the same time put out a press release. I have attached it to this email and I would ask you to please distribute it to your partners and other organisations you think would be interested and willing to share it as well. Please let me know if you have any questions. Later today it will be posted on our website and on our LinkedIn profile. Please watch for those and be sure to like or repost.
